Animal Health By starting with vigorous, healthy cattle raised on healthy soil and grasses, then by raising them in low-stress, natural herd conditions, we seek to optimize animal health. Feeding grain to ruminants for example is contrary to the way they were designed; by avoiding grain feeding, the cattle benefit and so do we. Our cattle are not subjected to conditions such as might exist in feedlot confinement feeding operations. No unsanitary fecal dust clouds, chicken manure in their feed, no feeding of stale or spoiled candy products, no standing over bare dirt without a blade of grass in reach.
Chicken manure in their feed ? ... Think we're kidding? Here's a quote from some industry experts.
This article cites the merits of, and precautions to take when, feeding broiler litter to cattle. As we all know in Central Texas, that's a fancy name for "chicken manure".
