Soil fertility is at the root (literally) of food health, human health and animal health. Conventional use of harsh chemical pesticides to kill unwanted bugs and insects can also kill beneficial bugs and insects. We don’t use chemical wormers which kill earthworms and other soil life.

By proper management of grasslands, healthy forages are developed which are naturally disease- and pest-resistant. While most people readily acknowledge the value of trees role in the earth’s carbon-oxygen cycle, many overlook the value of healthy grasslands. These forages store a lot of carbon in the soil through their root structures, reduce moisture evaporation from the soil, and sustain vast microbial life in the soil.

We are working to re-establish the native species tall prairie grasses that once flourished on the great North American grassland plains. These grasses we consider vital to rebuilding soil vitality and avoiding man-made desert conditions.
